Abstract Renderings

"Trust" Animation Concept

This is a drawing/rendering of an animation concept I am currently working on. The animation will consist of 4-5 simulations done in both Houdini Side FX and Cinema 4D. I am strictly using Octane Render to render all the simulations and animations. All the pieces will be edited to make a 3-4 minute long music video. I am collaborating with a few people to make this project happen. One friend of mine drew up this concept for the "Trust" graffiti design that will be the main piece of the video, another friend of mine is mixing two songs together that will be the music that I am going to use to animate the simulations and to create the emotional edits.

3D Visual Effects Final Project

For this project we had to create some sort of crumbling or explosion in Houdini Side Fx. I chose to make an entire scene out of it. I proceduraly made a design that looked like a machine and spaceship combined. I then made an emissive tube in the middle of both the machines. I added materials to all components and ground pieces. The ground has a rock texture on it to give it a bumpy look and the water is just a reflective principle shader. I then made a large rectangular prism that rested on top of the 'water', and then made that into a cloud to give the ground a foggy look.

For the explosion I made the object into Voronoi fractures and changed the shapes of the pieces using points on another tube inside of the machine. The points then made the pieces on the inside smaller than the pieces on the outside. To top it all off I added debris to the fracture to make it seem a little more realistic. I then copied a dodecahedron to the points of the debris to make them look like pieces. The test render footage can be found in my Film and Animation pagee.

3D Bootcamp Final Project

This project was to be modelled completely in 3D Coat. It is supposed to be a modelled character of yourself in some sort of pose or just a straight figure. I chose to reference Greek and Roman Sculptures and came up with more of an Art piece rather than a character, but still stuck with the criteria of the project. I had no previous sketches or drawings, I wanted to freeform it and experiment with the tools in 3D Coat. This was one of my favorite projects of the semester, I really had a lot of fun playing around witht the program and it's renders.

Second Year second Semester Electronic Arts Still Life Render 1

For this project we had to create a still life in Maya that told a story through a few objects. We then had to render it using Arnold. I used substance painter to create the metallic materials of the bullets and the flask. The glass, liquid, and table was all done with Arnold materials. I rendered it using a simple area light and point light.

Second Year Third Semester Digital Constructions Final Project

The final drawing for this project was to take an existing building in the world and to remodel it in Maya to resemble a building that could be found in another world. I chose to use the American Copper Building and to add emssive lights that were attached to the buildings to make it looks as if it was some machine. The final design turned out dark so I put it in a dark environment that could reflect this feeling.

Second Year Architecture Design Studio 3 Final Project

This was one of the final renderings for this project. I wanted the rendering to portray the feeling or experience of the occupants who would possibly live in one of these apartments. This particular experience is the walk towards on one of the entrances, where one can see the reflections of themselves in the Architecture and within nature itself.

This render was to show the architectures relationship with site that it would be built upon. The site was in Cohoes, NY right next to the Hudson River. The few structures touching the water are open so one can freely walk to the river and back. The "shore" was deisgned specifically so that people could rest or sit on the edge right by the water.
